To the Editor:Re “Scenes Unseen: The Summer of ’78” (special section, April 29):What struck me immediately about the photos was that in each one, people are engaged with one another and their real-time activities. People looked at each other, spoke to each other, listened to each other, paid attention to their surroundings. No phones competed for their attention.
